Fattoria La Massa, Panzano in Chianti |

Winemaker Giampaolo Motta, something of a maverick, continues to produce fabulous wines from this estate situated on the "Conca d`Oro"..the golden basin at Panzano. This wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon. Aged in barrels which the previous year aged the world renowned Giorgio Primo. Deep, rich and smooth. A sense of luxury. |

Brunello di Montalcino "Sesti" |
1998 £24.99 |
|
Castello di Argiano, Sant`Angelo in Colle |
||
Proprietor Guiseppe Sesti relies heavily on lunar cycles and biodynamics, which he combines with traditional practices while making his fine wines. This Brunello is matured for four years in medium sized oak "botte", with another year in bottle before release. A very special wine, and a very special lunch ! Drinking well now, with good life ahead. |
