The youngest vines on this well exposed slope date back to 1943, the others considerably older. These ancient vines have again produced a Chablis of great quality and richness. Lots of fresh fruit and minerals, very vibrant. Lovely un-oaked, classic Chablis from one of the oldest and most respected producers in the appellation.

Pommard Clos Blanc, 1er Cru

Albert Grivault, Cote de Beaune

A very famous village with a "reborn" image built up by a group of dedicated and skilled winemakers of which Grivault is one of the leading lights. Lovely wine from another good vintage. Drinking very well now, with time in hand.

Beaune 1er cru "Montremenots"

Domaine Mussy , cote D`or

Medium bodied, with a delightfully soft rendition of Pinot fruit with lots of finesse. Sadly of limited availability so you will have to be quick !

Chassagne-Montrachet

Domaine Lamy-Pillot, Cote De Beaune

From a Domaine that traces back to 1640, a medium to full bodied wine with a creamy texture. Flavours of ripe pears, white peaches, hazelnuts and minerals. Beautifully balanced, drink now or keep.

Montagny 1er Cru

Chateau de Davenay, Cote Chalonnaise

Deliciously dry Chardonnay, quite rich with flavours of nuts and butter. Very classy, and exceptional value. Drink on its own or particularly good with shellfish and oysters.

Mercurey " Chante Flute"

Jean Galette, Cote Chalonnaise

"Since 1972, the conferee St-Vincent et ses Disciples de la Chante Flute de Mercurey has held annual tastings as the Tastevinage have done in the Cote de Nuits. Although the Mercurey AOL has a reputation for fine wines, these chante Flute wines are among the very best from the Cote Chalonnaise". Tom Stevenson. Drinking beautifully now. Excellent value.

Macon - Fuisse

This is really a mini Pouilly, as it comes from the younger vines within that appellation. A lovely combination of honey, pears and apples. A more traditional vintage following the heatwave of 2003, very fresh and clean, a perfect balance of fruit and acidity.

Pouilly-Fuisse

Dry, stony, taut, great fruit from 43 year old vines planted on limestone marne soil, aged in oak. Very concentrated with good aging potential, lovely on its own or with a big fish.
